Alcobendas Baptism

We are lucky enough to live next door to the Bishop of the Alcobendas ward. When they have baptisms in the summer, they use their pool. We love it!

Stake Creation in the Canary Islands!

Braulio Deniz was called to be the first Stake President of the new Canary Islands Stake. He has served as Scott's counselor in the Mission Presidency, and we love him and his family.

President & Sister Mellor, President and Sister Francis, Elder Reina joined us. The Mellor's and the Francis' are past Presidents of the Canary Islands.

The missionaries sang Called to Serve.

I cannot begin to describe the joyous atmosphere we felt at this historic event.

This was the line greeting Elder Teixeira and Elder Reina when they came to the Saturday night session.

Cutest misioneras!

Elder Ballard's Visit

We were privileged to have Elder Russell M. Ballard come to Madrid early in the morning, and speak to the missionaries who were serving in the Madrid area. Many missionaries awoke before dawn to be at the Stake Center by 8 am that morning. They were rewarded, as he gave us some wonderful counsel.
The Sullivan's had all of the missionaries, including those who were in the MTC sing hymns, while waiting for Elder Ballard, Elder Maynes & Elder Dykes to make their appearance. There was a wonderful, expectant spirit there!

We were fortunate enough to have these women here!

Mission President's Seminar - Versailles

Sending this text to wish our sweet Megan well, as she left for the Mexico MTC that morning!

We had an afternoon free to walk the grounds of Versailles with sweet friends

Elder & Sister Ballard, and Elder and Sister Oaks were in attendance, as well as Elder Maynes & his wife. This is getting ready for a river cruise down the Seine!

We love these people!

Welcome back, Elder Ward!

We were so happy to welcome Elder Ward back to our mission, after just five weeks at home, where he was recuperating from neck surgery!

An Historic Transfer!

On September 3, 2013, we received 44 missionaries, which included a new couple, the Hunts. They will serve in Oviedo, with the JAS (YSA). It was a sharp, excited group of new missionaries. Logistics were a little crazy, but at the end of the day, everyone was where they needed to be. Later that week, we had the happy task of welcoming our Elder Ward back to the mission - he brought our total number of incoming missionaries for that transfer to a whopping 45!

Elder Shamsabadi - a Visa Waiter, who came into the airport that morning.
